You may now be starting to realise my nail product obsession..
So... Chanel Le Vernis 203 Miami Peach... I've bought way too many Chanel nail polishes, and I may be blaspheming here but I'm not even that impressed with them. I don't know why I keep buying them, I know they're not brilliant but it makes me feel so nice when I buy anything Chanel.. I am aware of how ridiculous I sound right now. New resolution to never again buy Chanel nail polishes!
This colour does seem to be worse than most other though. The consistency was very runny and although the colour is lovely with a slight glitter, it takes quite a few coats to get to it, I generally don't like apply any more than two. It also seems to shrink as it dries (if thats possible)?! You might be able to see from the picture that the tips and sides arent covered, which i found very strange. Even with a top coat due to the thickness from all the coats the polish also chips easily.
Overall I wouldn't recommend this product, don't be lured by the lovely sales people on the Chanel counters and that fluttery feeling after you buy it.. it doesn't last when you know you've spent £16 on something that's not all you want it to be. Unless you are totally and utterly in love with this particular colour and only want to wear for a short night out, I'd take a leaf from my book and buy Barry M or Essie.
Essie 658 No Boundaries
This is my first experience of Essie. Previously my favourite nail polishes have been Chanel and Barry M. But my boss subscribed to Elle which comes with three free Essie polishes and she doesn't wear bright colours so gave this one to me. Although the colour isn't that amazing, just a bright pink, I really like the polish. The consistency and formula are lovely, this combined with the well designed brush make this polish a pleasure to use.
(I've used Rimmel Stronger base coat and Seche Vite top coat)
I've found some lovely colours on the Essie website that I may buy (after seeing how well this one lasts), but I think I'll be getting Mint Candy Apple and Eternal Optimist.. maybe even Chinchilly too if I'm feeling sad and need a retail boost at some point :)
The prices aren't bad for the quality too, about £6 to £8.. definitely worth a go girlies!
Sorry about the quality of the pics, taken quickly on my iphone as my dad stole my camera for a bit.
I've tried so many skincare regimes and products and have never found any that really suited my skin. Whenever I read magazines and beauty interview celebrities always seem to rave about dermalogica, so when Sarah at City Girl's Fashion Box mentioned a 20% discount code for HQHair in one of her posts I decided to give it a go.
I bought the Essential Cleansing Solution..

I bought the Essential Cleansing Solution..
Its really smooth and creamy, you only need a small blob, but it leaves your skin feeling so clean.
I follow the cleanser with Active Moist moisturiser..
It's really light and not at all oily, soaks into skin and leaves it feeling smooth and hydrated straight away.
Once or twice a week I also use Skin Hydrating Masque...
Its a gel mask which spreads easily, you leave on for 10-15 minutes then wash off with warm water. You can really tell the difference after using it, skin feels soft and pores are noticeably minimised.
After using these products for only three weeks my skin looks amazing, not only to me, I've also had compliments from friends and family! I mean I've never had very bad skin, but I've had the odd spot here and there, now my skin is completely clear! The only problem I have had with my skin is uneven tone, I have red and blotchy patches occasionally, but now my tone is so much more even, I'm not having to use so much make up to try and balance it out.
Even though it is quite pricey it is definitely worth it! I think I'm going to buy an exfoliator next :)
So finally found my perfect skincare products! yay!
But after trying what seems like thousands I still haven't found the right mascara for me. I like a lot of volume and length but not too clumpy. At the moment I'm using Diorshow Blackout, but I'm finding it a bit gloopy. Can any of you lovely ladies help me out?
